When I do my online shopping I am totally different. I look at all-the-things when I’m shopping online. I open up a new tab for every category of clothing and accessories, get to narrow my search based on my size, my budget, and what I actually
It also gives me a way to escape the overcrowded malls and the sales ladies asking me for the 7th time if I “need any help”. Hallelujah!
Shopping online is pretty much a guarantee that you’re going to get a great deal on whatever it is you're looking for because it’s so much easier to compare prices. I also don’t do any of my online shopping without Honey installed on my browser.
I’ve talked about Honey before but I’ll just give you the low-down on this cannot-miss browser extension.
Once you download Honey, and you’re roaming around online stores, it’ll notify you of any coupon codes that are available for that store. You know, the coupon codes for free shipping or 40% off your purchase? Yeah - those ones that you absolutely do not want to miss.
Then you add items into your cart like normal and let Honey do its thing. Savings galore!
Over my many years of shopping online, I’ve come up with a list of online stores that I prefer based on their selection of clothing and accessories, price point, and how often they have great deals.
Asos //
“ASOS is a global fashion destination for 20-somethings. We sell cutting-edge fashion and offer a wide variety of fashion-related content, making ASOS.com the hub of a thriving fashion community.”
I may not be a 20-something anymore but I’m not going to let that keep me from shopping at ASOS.
They always have on-trend items for great prices, you just can’t go wrong.
One thing I’ll say about shopping at ASOS is you’ll want to triple confirm your sizing. Some items may be in UK or another sizing besides US, so if you’re used to ordering in US sizing only be sure to take your measurements before ordering, just to be sure.
thredUp //
“We believe everyone should have convenient and affordable access to the brands and styles that best celebrates their individual style. Often you can find the exact same items you’d find in retail stores but at up to 90% off.”
thredUp now ships to Canada! Can I get a high five?!? Seriously.
Being able to shop at a consignment store means huge savings on designer and high-end fashion. There is nothing better than this.
Some people can be wary when it comes to buying from thrift stores, but rest assured that everything you buy on thredUp is very gently used and in some cases still have the tags on them.
I’m currently eyeing a blouse that was originally $178 that’s on sale for $25.19!!!!
ModCloth //
“ModCloth is the fun, friendly spot for style and decor that’s as expressive and unique as you are!”
Girl, yes! ModCloth has the cutest clothes and accessories. They even have home decor and gift items. I could get lost on this site for hours.
This is a great shop for those that like to dress a little more feminine as well. There dress and skirt collections are to die for! I used to work with a girl who wore dresses almost every day and there came a point in time where she’d just nod my way as if to say “yes, it’s from ModCloth”.
Rue21 //
“Fashion plays an important role in the journey to self-discovery. Choose a style, make it your own. You’re an individual, and you need fresh, feel-good pieces that let you totally own it. That’s why we work to make the latest trends affordable and available to anyone. Our mission is to make fashion everyone’s playground.”
I’m a newbie to Rue21 but now I will never look back.
Discovering them may be the worst thing that ever happened to my bank account.
They have items that are perfect for a casual Sunday afternoon and something you could wear to the Monday morning meeting and they are so affordable!
Old Navy //
No matter what, I still love me some Old Navy.
For me, they have the best basics. If I just want oversized t-shirts, leggings, and flannel button-ups, this is usually where I find them.
I’ve also found some really stylish and affordable workout (or just woke up from a nap) gear at Old Navy lately.
They have frequent sales so I never have to buy anything at full price. There’s nothing better than that!
Lulu’s //
“Lulus is your online destination for chic and on-trend fashion! We buy and design with you in mind – sophisticated, feminine, inspired, modern …. “
If your style is chic and feminine then Lulus is definitely an online store you’ll want to check out.
While there clothing is amazing, I’m more addicted to their shoes and accessories. They match my style perfectly.
The only thing I dislike about Lulu’s is that it doesn’t provide clothing for us curvier girls.
Boohoo //
If you haven’t heard of Boohoo, I don’t know where you’ve been.
“Our philosophy is pretty simple: we don’t take fashion or life too seriously. Whether you like to keep one step ahead of the trends, or if a subtle style is more your thing, we’re sure we’ve got something you’ll love.”
Boohoo has everything you could possibly dream of buying from an online retailer - shoes, jewelry, handbags, plus size fashion, men's fashion, petite, outerwear, swimwear. Shall I go on?
Some of their styles are a bit too out there for me but I always find something more my style. The basics like a white t-shirt or skinny jeans are also easy to find here.
I wanna know, what are your favorite online stores?
