Since I moved out on my own I needed to be more strict with my budget. I don't overspend as much as I used to (nobody's perfect, right?) but when it comes to buying stuff that I need, I still want to save money. I've tried the whole clipping coupons thing, with little success - it's just way too much work - and I've signed up for multiple loyalty/rewards programs at the stores I frequent, but I end up with way too many emails in my inbox.
When I'm doing my necessity shopping, for things other than groceries, I like to do it online. All the options are available to you online (usually), and there's always a clearance or "last chance" section with items that aren't in the store.
When I do my online shopping I always use Honey. Honey is the EASIEST way to save money when shopping online – seriously. It’s a free browser extension that searches for coupon/promo codes and sales for you so that you save the most money. I don’t know about you, but I’ve wasted a lot of time looking for promo codes online before doing my online shopping. I'm a sucker for a good ol' 20% coupon code.

When you use the Honey extension you just do your online shopping like normal, but before you hit that CHECK OUT button on those killer pair of jeggings (cause seriously, who buys regular jeans anymore?), click the Honey button.
It will automatically apply all the coupon/promo codes and discounts and apply the one that saves you the most money!
I’ve been able to score some great deals this way. Just the other day I was ordering from AdoreMe and I was able to use a $10 off code! Umm, yes please? This wasn’t the normal “place your first order and you can save” coupon code either (I used that one already, of course!). This was used on a subsequent order.
Honey now added an extra Cash Back, or HoneyGold, feature too. So, when shopping at certain stores you can earn cash back for your purchase – again, with just one simple click. Woot! I’m winning at this online shopping thing ;)
For being a lazy girl and a girl on a budget, this has been really helpful. It doesn’t work at every online store I shop at, but when it does work it usually saves me quite a bit of coin. Check it out, and see what you think!
What’s your favorite place to shop online?
